Kaylee Scott

Physiotherapist
An Ottawa native, Kaylee actively participated in sport from an early age, most notably in dance and swimming. She continued into both disciplines competitively, before ultimately deciding to focus on swimming. Attending swim meets both regionally and provincially, she finished her swimming career attending the East Coast Championships in 2014. Still wanting to be involved in the swim world, Kaylee took up coaching and worked with a local swim team as a pre-competitive coach for 3 years. Kaylee graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree in Biomedical Science in 2021, where she learned about the human body and developed an interest in exercise physiology and musculoskeletal pathologies. Before moving to Montreal, she worked in a research lab at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario investigating the role of various proteins in the development of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Wanting to further her education and pursue her interest in musculoskeletal disorders, Kaylee completed a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at McGill University in 2023. Kaylee has a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy and working with athletes. She volunteered with the Women’s Varsity Basketball team at McGill from 2022-23, learning about rehabilitation in athletes and the role of physiotherapy in sports medicine. She gained further experience in this discipline while working with the Men’s Varsity Football team as one of her clinical placements, where she focused on rehabilitation, injury prevention, and emergency on-field care. As a new graduate, Kaylee is looking forward to building strong relationships with her clients as she works with them to improve their well-being and assists them to achieve their wellness goals!
